Flat-Fee Proactive Support

This covers a defined predictable scope of work that we agree to provide for a reasonable budget. By delivering our standard stack of automation and other services, our team can consistently and efficiently deliver managed services to all our clients. Typically, the Proactive service kicks in once the initial stabilization and onboarding work is complete. The Proactive service includes:

  • Regular in-depth Business Technology Reviews (BTRs), where you provide an update on your business goals, we report on system health and best practices, and we can discuss the roadmap for the 3-12 months.
  • Proactive upgrades of routine Linux updates and security fixes.
  • Ongoing management of data backups including policy management, verification, and issue resolution. Includes offsite storage rental.
  • Server and application monitoring, so that we are alerted when your website is down or slow
  • Triage of monitoring alerts and tuning of existing monitors.

Pricing is based on a combination of the number of systems being supported and considerations that factor into the complexity such as the number of unique business applications, DevOps usage, infrastructure components like load balancers and more.

Pre-paid Retainer for Responsive Support and Project Work

This covers anything excluded by the Proactive package, and generally is driven by your business/team.

  • Dealing with outages
  • Developer support
  • Changes, additions, moves
  • Stabilization and other special projects
  • Software development

These prepaid retainers can be setup in one of two ways, depending on your business needs:

  • Predictable monthly budget: Set amount of hours that we invoice you for every month. Unused balance rolls forward to the next month. Special projects that don’t fit nicely into a routine “operational” budget are approved and billed separately.
  • No predictable monthly usage: If it’s not feasible to setup a monthly retainer, you can purchase a block of time (eg: 10, 25, 50, 100 hours) based on projected usage for the next 30-60 days. When its getting low we will ask for a topup.
